The Heroes On The Concho Special Project is dedicated to commemorating the valor and sacrifices of the brave individuals from the San Angelo, Texas area who served in the United States Armed Forces during World War II. This initiative aims to create a lasting tribute to honor their contributions by establishing a memorial and statuary along the picturesque banks of the Concho River in San Angelo, Texas.
At the heart of this endeavor is the profound recognition of the invaluable role played by local veterans in defending freedom and democracy during one of the most pivotal periods in history. By meticulously listing the names of every World War II veteran from the San Angelo area, this memorial will serve as a poignant reminder of their selflessness and dedication to their country.
